In position duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinating the delivery of excellent and comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of our client hospital. Complying with all federal and Massachusetts’ legal, accreditation, regulatory, and professional standards. This position also requires involvement with several drug distribution functions, including IV admixture preparation, computerized order entry and review, and verification of physicians’ pharmaceutical orders.
Candidates must be able to optimize the therapeutic outcomes of pharmaceutical treatments for patients under the aegis of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee’s directives. This will include active communication with nurses, doctors and other healthcare staff when needing clarification or to verify an order change. All intervention outcomes must be documented.
- A pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Massachusetts pharmacy license (we can help you with this)
- Or be eligible for licensure in Massachusetts via reciprocity or examination
