There are apps now for just about anything – more than two million of them overall. So it’s no surprise there are many apps that can be helpful for travel nurses. Here are a few recommended by travel nurses.
This is a paid app. For $170 a year, it gives you access to a database of more than 5,000 drugs, 65,000 medical terms, information on diseases, tests and procedures, as well as the latest studies from nursing journals.
For this app, you put in your destination and how long you plan to be there, and the app will show you on a map what attractions are in the area as well as what events will be going on during your time there.
You can print out the results, save them as a PDF or share them with friends and family on Facebook and Twitter. It’s a good way to organize your trip around your contract time.
This is a great way to get information about the area you will be going to. Enter the name of a hotel, restaurant or other attraction, and the app will automatically give you additional information about the location, such as contact data, reviews, maps and pictures.
The app enables you to keep track of your purchases and other financial transactions by connecting to your credit card and bank accounts. You can also use it to scan receipts. And at the end of the trip, you receive a PDF report of your spending you can submit to your company for reimbursement.
This app has a free version and a paid version. The free version gives you information on drug interactions, pill identification, formulary information and more. The pay version also offers disease information, diagnostic and lab tests for $160 a year.
