Top Travel Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist

If you are a physical therapist interested in traveling, MedPro Healthcare Staffing has a number of openings around the country for PTs.

Physical therapists are responsible for the assessment of patients who require rehabilitation services. These services include providing direct patient care to assess the patient’s medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and potential for rehabilitation.

Physical therapists also establish and administer treatment programs with goals determined by the patient’s physical capacity and tolerance. Therapists also document and record the patient’s condition and educate the patient and his or her family in physical therapy methods.

Physical therapists also work with patients to restore, maintain and promote their general fitness and wellness for an active life. Patients who need therapy can include accident victims and people with disabling conditions.

Physical therapists review a patient’s medical history, conduct a body systems review and do tests to measure strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function to identify possible and current problems. Based on their examination of the patient and evaluation, physical therapists present a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care based on evidence-based treatment strategies. Therapists also determine the patient’s ability to function independently and to reenter the community or workplace after an illness.

Physical therapists work in different types of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, private offices, home health agencies, sports and fitness facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. The average salary for a physical therapist is about $80,000 a year.

Requirements for physical therapy jobs generally include the following: graduation from an accredited school, possession of a state license as a registered physical therapist or being in the process of acquiring a state license, and certification in CPR.

As a MedPro employee, you qualify for a generous array of benefits, including, immediate access to the industry’s best recruiters and healthcare facilities, flexible scheduling around your needs, private housing or housing allowance, group health insurance benefits from Aetna, company-paid life and disability insurance, full travel reimbursement, licensure assistance and reimbursement, and matching 401(k) retirement plan.
