July Top Job: Speech Language Pathologist Needed in Alabama

If you’re a speech language pathologist (SLP) with at least one or two years of recent professional experience and you’d like to enjoy all the great food and hospitality that is available when living in the South, check out this travel assignment for an SLP at one of our clients in Alabama.

In this position, you will be responsible for assessing referred patients requiring treatment for their speech, hearing and/or language deficits. You will be teaching your patients how to improve their voices, make sounds and improve their written or oral language skills so that they may communicate more effectively. You also will teach your patients how to use compensatory strategies to swallow food or liquids without choking. If applicable, you will help them strengthen the muscles used for swallowing.

You will be providing speech therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders. You will assess your patients’ needs and will plan for, evaluate and modify the care plans you create as patients work with you.

You will set goals that are realistic and achievable so that patients may develop or recover swallowing and communication skills, thus allowing your patients to fulfill or return to their social, educational and vocational roles and meet their goals within them.

To be considered for this SLP travel assignment, you must have a current Alabama license as an SLP, or currently in the application process (we can help you with this).

You also must possess current certification in CPR and you must have your CCCs.
